Now that we have been back in the States for a couple of weeks, I want to share some of my reactions and feelings. The culture shock started as early as in the airport in Dar es Salaam, when I saw the KLM flight crew stride through the waiting passengers to the plane. Certainly there are fat people in Tan.
This morning, I did not have the participants list I was hoping I would, so I printed out 20 little invitation cards, and gave ten to each of my counterparts to distribute. How to Send Me Things! November 13, 2012. I Live in a Dishwasher. Though the rain is exceptionally clear, it does bring with it monster to my life. Prior to the short rains what seems like all of Karatu was covered in about 2 inches of dust, which readily enters the air when anything disturbs it. I would wear sunglasses, not because the sun was too bright, but because it helped prevent buckets of dust entering my eyes.
